How Bookings Work

When a client submits a booking request, a payment authorization is placed on their card for the full session amount plus the platform fee. The card is not charged at this point — only authorized.

The instructor has 24 hours to respond. If they accept, the payment is captured and the booking is confirmed. If they decline or do not respond, the authorization is released and the client's card is never charged.

Booking Statuses

Session Completion

A booking is marked COMPLETED either when the instructor marks it complete or automatically 24 hours after the scheduled session time. Upon completion, Stripe transfers the instructor's earnings automatically.

Platform Fee

Brain Boost charges a platform fee included in the total amount shown at checkout. Instructors receive their earnings minus the platform's retained fee. The fee breakdown is shown clearly before any booking is submitted.

Disputes

If you have a dispute about a session, contact support within 48 hours of the scheduled session time. Our team will review and may issue a full or partial refund at our discretion.
